A movie a week is all we ask. Well, that and a good cup of coffee...a few sunny days in a row wouldn't hurt either - and a nice bottle of wine every now and again. The movies should be good too...not Hollywood crap, but well-made, smart independent films. For geniuses. That's all.
Interesting that you thought Emma was great. I thought her portrayal of the author was a bit too over the top. I found that whenever she was on screen I was pulled out of the plot because her performance didn't seem natural to me. I did, however, think that Maggie Gyllenhaal did a phenomenal job. Overall, the movie exceeded my expectations. I love a smart, quirky movie, and this was both.
